Your team/organization will also have a personal donation website, complete with easy access and user friendly features allowing friends and family the opportunity to make donations to help you reach your goals. The email wizard feature on the registry allows your team/organization's members the opportunity to send a personal thank you to their donors. Why should we use this donation site? Using the site allows coaches, administrators, and parents to focus on the children or activity at hand. Selling doughnuts, cookie dough, popcorn and candy requires planning, inventory and collecting money from friends and neighbors. Quite honestly, these items are purchased only as a sense of obligation to you and your child. The products are most often overpriced and useless. Most of your potential donors would much rather give directly to your cause, eliminating the excessive fees charged by most product based fundraisers. These fees often exceed 70% of the total amount collected from the sales of these items. This results in significantly less funding for your organization's goals despite much hard work on the part of your children, parents, coaches, etc. The ourFUND registry virtually eliminates the need to turn your children into salesmen and minimizes the time spent on raising money for your fundraising goals. All you need to get started is a few team or group photos and a personal message for your donors to read. We have staff that will assist you if you need help. They can also offer helpful suggestions on creating your message, as well as identifying potential donors in your community. BACK TO TOP How will I know how much to ask for? We suggest that you only seek donations from close friends and family. This may include relatives, family friends, parent associates, and business owners in your community. They may also include teachers, pastor, as well as family doctors to name a few. Once you determine what your team or organization's needs are, simply establish a financial goal that will enable you to meet those needs. That goal can be updated at any time and the website allows you to track donations against your goals so you can keep an eye on the success of your fundraising campaign. BACK TO TOP How much does it cost to use ourFUND? We never charge a set up fee, and during the registration process we never require payment from anyone from your organization. A one time administrative fee is deducted from the donations as they are received. The service fee will cover account management, donation webpage, payment distribution, and credit card processing fees. BACK TO TOP When will my donation page be active and when will my personal site close? Potential donors can view and make donations beginning the first day you set up your site. Your registry will remain active until you choose to delete the webpage. Remember the site is free for you to use so there is no limit to the time you can accept donations. BACK TO TOP
